Shared Success is the program that gives back 30% of our net profits to our members and our community.
For our members
As a personal member, Shared Success is your profit sharing plan. Your level of participation in our profits is based on the amount of business you do with Squamish Savings and Vancity. We automatically pay you your share in our success in the spring of each year. The more of your banking you have with us the greater your portion of profit sharing.

For our communities
Vancity believes investing in our communities is part of our bottom line. Through Shared Success we donate a portion of our profits to help make our community better to live for members and non-members alike. Some consider it good karma. We consider it a necessary investment in our future together.
Local organizations benefit directly from donations that improve social, economic and environmental conditions. Within the multitude of donations given each year is the $1 million Vancity Award that goes to a local community project that members choose as most deserving.
In recent years Vancity Award funds have gone towards – an urban greenway for cycling/walking, a program for at risk children, remodeling a local facility for cultural events, a community wellness centre, etc.
Shared Success is another way that Vancity is different and why we are the preferred full service financial institution for hundreds of thousands of people in Lower Mainland of British Columbia and Victoria.
Donating Your Shared Success
As a recipient of Shared Success, you also have the option of sharing your success. If you would like to donate your Shared Success payment to either the Vancity Community Foundation or the Vancity EnviroFund you have three options:
