A Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) is a savings plan for post-secondary education. Deposits to an RESP grow tax-free until withdrawn by the student. The plan also allows you to apply for free grants from the federal government — the Canada Education Savings Grant — to help pay for a child’s education
